TRIAD Team Programs

Our competitive team programs are designed for young athletes with an uncommon drive to succeed in the sport of gymnastics. The team environment is designed to bring out the best each child has to offer while still maintaining the element of fun. We teach the athletes how to get the most out of their gymnastics ability and how to deal with the day to day issues of being a gymnast and the bigger picture issues of life.

Our Junior Team (ages 4-8) consists of ‘Hot Shots’ and ‘Pre-Team’. The ‘Pre-Team’ gymnasts practice 4-6 hours per week. Hot Shots are our youngest team members. These gymnasts have demonstrated above average gymnastics ability and desire. The main goal of the Hot Shots program is to establish a rock solid foundation for gymnastics development. The purpose of Triad’s Pre-team program is to expand upon the base which was established in Hot Shots by introducing skill development on all of the Olympic events plus dance and trampoline.

Triad’s Girls’ Junior Olympic team is a USAG (USA Gymnastics) program that consists of 10 levels of progressive gymnastics skills and routines. We understand that because participation and advancement through Triad’s team program requires a large time, emotional, and financial commitment, this may not be an appropriate program for every child. However, for those children wishing to pursue gymnastics at a high competitive level and realize their full potential in this wonderful sport, we feel we offer the most complete program in the state of Iowa. Female gymnasts compete on 4 events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor.

Triad’s boy’s gymnastics program is designed to give boys an opportunity to improve their strength, flexibility, and skill development. It doesn’t matter whether you are the next world champion or simply trying to get stronger. Our goal is to give each individual the opportunity to excel to their fullest potential. We focus on the six mens gymnastics events: floor, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and the horizontal bar.

The XCEL team program is a perfect fit for gymnasts who have the desire to compete but also have commitments and passions outside of gymnastics. Like our Junior Olympic (J.O.) team, the XCEL team is a USAG (USA Gymnastics) program. XCEL offers a more flexible schedule while still providing an opportunity for girls with potential in gymnastics to compete without an overwhelming the time or financial commitment. Female gymnasts compete on 4 events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor.
